School trip letter.

To every one at Padstow Sea Life Safari,

I am emailing to say a huge thank you for an unforgettable experience both for me and my students.

When booking the trip back in May the man I spoke to (I believe it was Andrew) was exceptionally helpful, answering all my questions with enthusiasm and interest. He was also kind enough to offer a small discount for the students, which was much appreciated.

On arrival at Padstow (despite us being 5 minutes late due to parking issues!) the lady who signed us in at the orange tent couldn't have been lovelier, asking me about our week so far and chatting about the boat trip we were about to go on.

When we eventually got to the boat the captain, Ian, welcomed us aboard and talked the students through the safety bits, instantly making them feel at ease. Ian then enthusiastically prepped us about the trip ahead and I could see the anticipation and excitement of the students building. Within 5 minutes we had spotted bottlenose dolphins at the mouth of the river and we spent 30 minutes or so watching them play in the waves. We then moved on to see an array of sea birds and seals. During the trip Ian was brilliant with the students, giving them interesting facts about the species they were observing and answering all their and my questions patiently and with enthusiasm. Although, I need to apologise to Ian for my insessant questionning....the Zoologist in me just couldn't contain itself!!

Without a doubt Ian turned the trip into an adventure that the students won't ever forget! The students commented that this trip was the best bit of their week. It was by far the best bit of mine! I will certainly be coming back to see the puffins and am trying to convince my other half that we should now get married in Padstow and not on a Mediterranean Island!

Many thanks again for making this such a brilliant experience for the students and for all the help and enthusiasm you provided.

No doubt we will see you in the future,

Sian Anderson
